Be a fly on the wall of the white house in the first months of Obama’s presidency – fascinated by American politics and love the idea of this being history in the making

2. If you could be anyone for a day, who would it be?
Jon Bon Jovi’s stalker!

3. What’s your favourite piece of clothing?
Handbags – not strictly speaking clothing but way more important

4. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
“listen to what your stomach tells you to do”

5. If your house was on fire, what 3 things would you save (apart from family)?
Photograph albums (for the memories), laptop (for all my work) – and handbag (obvious?)

6. What would be the title of your autobiography?
“Miss Independence”

7. What’s the most impressive thing you’ve managed to get for nothing?
My daughter – but she’s been costing me ever since!

The West Wing

9. What tune do you sing in the bath?
Any disco song – but you could never call it a tune. Can’t hold one of those

No-one, ever

Keep in touch with friends

12. What’s your party trick?
Can tell the title and artist of a song from the first few notes – very sad but true!

13. Ever had a recurring dream?
No – but have weird recurring nightmares

14. How would you change the World?
Would bring back common sense so that the majority view is no longer made to feel like the minority

My daughter

Anything happening to her

17. Your perfect evening would be?
Listening to music and reading on a balcony in Tuscany as the sun sets then going out to drink wine and dance in a piazza with my daughter and great friends

18. Do you have a burning ambition?
To always be happy

19. Who in history would you most like to have dinner with?
Mandela – to find out how he has maintained such positivity and generosity of spirit in the face of such adversity. Common response I’m sure but I don’t think there is one other person who could teach us so much on the human spirit

20. What would you do for £1million pounds?
Sell some members of my family!!

22. What superhero powers would you like?
The ability to transport myself to another place – without the hassle of airport check in or the ignominity of travel sickness

A car that valets itself

Saying “absolutely” too much

My brother and I playing in a park just before going home to meet my young sister for the very first time – I was 3 years old

Once trapped Donny Osmond in a revolving door

Pretended to be the Queen so that 60 staff could rehearse a royal opening

My strength of mind and The way I value my friendships – I hope!
