The Leadership Factory team are one of the leading leadership, strategy and change management providers in the UK. We work closely with a range of businesses on strategic analysis and development
We have worked with a range of companies in key sectors on:
When working with any business on strategy we begin with a meeting with key decision makers in the organisation to gain an in-depth understanding of the company, its market, trading background and key personnel. The discussion is used to identify key strategic issues within the business which the consultant will use in the facilitation of the strategy workshop. We support the meetings with market and competitor research.
We facilitate sessions with the senior management of the company where we seek to gain a consensus on the strategy of the business. Once the market analysis has been undertaken the group are introduced to Porter’s concepts of Strategic Choice. Underpinning this discussion is the key questions: ‘who are your customers and why do they use you?’ The purpose of the discussion is to establish the strategic position and competitive advantage of the business. Why do customers choose you? Is it because of cost, expertise, quality, service, innovation or client handling? Without establishing the primary reason a client chooses the business the company cannot set its strategy, define its competencies and priorities or measure its performance.
The outcome of our strategy work is the preparation, in conjunction with the company’s management, of an action plan that identifies the critical factors that will impact upon successful implementation of the chosen strategy. This enables the senior managers to drive the business forward with clear objectives and targets.
