ADL are the leading UK bus manufacturer with sites throughout the UK. The Leadership for Profitable Growth programme has involved leaders from sites across the UK working together in 4 x 2 day workshops on key topics including strategy, high performance teams and building a change culture. Individuals have a personal change plan and a business improvement plan that they work on with their colleagues. The business change projects must have a direct bottom line impact on the business, and have been used to increase efficiencies, reduce costs and improve cross-site operations. Additionally, to date 63% of participants on the LfPG have been promoted within ADL. The programme has been so successful that Scottish Enterprise chose ADL as a best practice case study in leadership.
